I just got back from Hawaii on Tuesday, so I missed a lot of terrible
weather, which for me is less about temperature than wind. Hawaii had a
version of a Blue Norther while we were there, replete with wind. I was
colder there than I would have been at home because my mother-in-law's old
plantation home is so porous. But the fault is mine for not having more
warm clothing. I knew better.
On the 20th I did get out for my epic mid-winter hike, which I told

We'll have to shake each other out of our doldrums. Perhaps this is the
year for a second winter hike. Also, SWMBO and I just bought a "new" 2001
BMW 525iT to replace the Volvo 850. The "T" stands for "touring," which is
bimmertalk for a wagon, so it will carry a few lenses.
