Unfortunately, that’s what professional and big-time college ball has become.
American football is a whole different game if it’s not being broadcast on
television. In high school, we played 12-minute quarters, and sometime
completed them in 13 minutes. Play after play after play with nary a break. If
you want a real American football experience, attend a few Friday night high
school games in places such as North Carolina, Ohio, Texas or Pennsylvania.
