I like a chamois for my okole, but that can be accomplished variously. I have
a pair of baggy shorts with one in the crotch. I do like a tight shirt -- wind
resistance, you know -- but one does not have to look like a Power Ranger. My
Nike Dry-Fit running shirts work great.
It’s your business, but I would beg you to wear a helmet, Chris. I wear one
motorcycling too, and bicycling is far more dangerous. Perhaps not more
deadly, but certainly more fraught with potential peril, especially for urban
riding.

Myself, I cycle wearing jeans, cap, and whatever shirt is appropriate for
the temperature. I quietly chuckle when I see an individual out cycling
wearing brightly coloured clothing and helmet on a brightly coloured bike.
Looks like an escapee from a circus. When they try to pass me I simply lean
into whatever restored "old school" bike that I'm riding and leave them behind.
All those bright colours and money are no match for a 63 year-old rider on a
1984 Super Mirage.
