Hi Guys,
Long time no see... :) I have now converted 100% to digital 3d. I started
taking 3d pictures in 1988 with a Stereo Realist camera. I later moved to
better and more expensive cameras. What brought me here was a fascination
with the OM system... Unfortunately, I discovered this wonderful camera
system a bit late, just before switching to digital.
Today I am using the compact Fuji W3 and Panasonic 3D1 stereo cameras but
also the micro 4/3 system, with a pair of Panasonic GX1 cameras and assorted
lenses. I have made (and sell) camera support bars for two cameras for
stereo photography with sliding platforms (one can also use a single camera
and shift). I have found a way to connect two of these cameras bottom to
bottom to bring the lenses closer together. If anyone is interested in
these projects, let me know and I can give you details.
I have also modified the Panasonic 3D lens (only 10mm lens spacing) to take
true macro 3d pictures (with such a short lens spacing, the lens is
incapable of taking regular 3d pictures). Here is a link that describes
what I do with these lenses and shows some of my pictures (small size so you
can freeview them, if you can):

This is a link to my web site, not an ebay auction, but I offer modified
lenses for sale ($150 including the focusing bar and spacer to change the
magnification, and also brand new lenses with no modification for $125 - For
the record, I paid $275 for my first lens). I have won a couple of PSA
(Photographic Society of America) Gold medals in International Stereo
Exhibitions with these pictures (not bragging, just stating the facts :))
Thanks,
George
