My son commutes 45km per day round trip, five days per week in work clothes -
boots. work pants, high visibility singlet, helmet, music, lots of LED's in
winter on a hybrid road bike Seems to do the job.
The police did clock him doing almost 70kph at 5am one day, on his way in -
pulled him over to see what he was up to.
He did have a nasty last year when a white van driver ran up the back of him on
aa slow uphill stretch - that was a nervous few months in recovery.
But he's fully recovered and just got a huge settlement - paid for half his new
house.
Lycra wouldn't have helped. :-)
