I was just going by the blurbs on four-thirds.org:
"Maintaining the stunning performance of LUMIX G 20 mm F1.7 ASPH., the new
LUMIX G 20 mm F1.7 II ASPH. gains sleek,
sophisticated external design in black and silver color."

That's such a small difference that it's certainly just sample variation.
Apparently, DXO are all techies, and don't consider marketing.
"The original Panasonic Lumix G 20mm f1.7 ASPH
<http://www.dxomark.com/Lenses/Panasonic/Panasonic-LUMIX-G-20mm-F17-ASPH>
was one of the most prized lenses for both Panasonic and Olympus users and the
announcement of a revamped model with the
same optical construction was a surprise."
The difference is that it comes in two colors now, to match their camera
colors, and has a metal mount, undoubtedly
because their market research has found that lots of folks think that's the
sign of better lenses. Metal mount means
nothing on a lens this small and light.
Market vs Tech Moose
