Yeah, Michelangelo's paintings with just one brush and simple B&W paints are
sure great.
I've never understood the ascetic aesthetic of picture taking.
I see things in my visual field that I want to capture. One focal length just
means that I practice a lot of moving
closer and farther away, and experience a lot of frustration when that doesn't
suffice. I don't understand how letting
one FOV choose my subjects is better than letting whatever creative vision I
have choose them.
I can see how this would work for folks like the blogger enamored with iPhone
as ultimate camera. I can see it for the
urban street shooter, conventional, H. C-B style.
