Sounds right. It's most assuredly not smoke, but perhaps folks were seeking to
differentiate it from run-of-the-mill fog. We usually see the vapors when air
temperature is _way_ colder than water temperature. It starts kinda wispy and
intensifies as the sun rises and light hits the water. Or the air. I could look
it up, but then there would be no room for the magic. <g>
