Firstly, I agree with Philippe: I should start using Mail to access all your
email. There are no adverts in Mail and you can read the emails off-line if
you wish.
Secondly, Chrome, for all its much-vaunted speed (vaunted by Google), is a
particularly tricky browser. Firstly, it assumes that you want to log-in to
your Google account, secondly there are parts of it that are particularly slow,
thirdly there's no way of avoiding Google when you search, should you wish to.
Thirdly, you might find that Yahoo is to blame, rather than Chrome. Yahoo has
recently changed its interface and several people of my acquaintance are
bemoaning the change. It looks OK to me, but I spend very little time on
webmail – I use Mail for 95% of my email access.
I'd be happy to talk over any setup you wished, although I suspect that you
know as much as I do already ;-)
