For those interested, or inclined in such a direction.
Loch Na Keal, Isle of Mull. Converted to black and white. Printed 10"x15" on
canvas by Bay Photo. (This is the picture, not a picture of the picture.) I had
this one made as a test to see how black and white would look on canvas. For
some reason, I worried that canvas would not be suitable for b&w. Apparently I
was wrong. The image is well-rendered, the texture is agreeable, and at some
point I'm going to have this rather large file made into a rather large canvas
print. Before I do, however, I'm going to have a small print made on aluminum
to see how b&w fares on metal.

This image I had printed by Bay Photo on a 20"x20" piece of aluminum, with
glossy surface. The result was extremely pleasing, and it hangs on our living
room waiting for some decent lighting to show it off properly.

Turns out I like square metal a lot, and am preparing several more images to be
printed that way.
Finally, this is a variation on an earlier theme. I had it printed on a 16"x24"
piece of canvas and framed, again by Bay Photo. I have it hanging in the old
gallery because of the good lighting. The canvas retained so much detail that
you can see the individual legs of individual sheep in the foreground.

If you watch Bay Photo, or other labs that do this kind of work--and I'm sure
this is true across the Pond as well--they constantly are running discounts and
specials and such to entice. I usually wait until Bay is running some kind of
deal and then order whatever is on special, as long as it's canvas or metal.
