Coffee is made with dripping machines (awful juice), a press (slightly
better) or a Nespresso type piece of electronics.

I'm one of the very few Italian who don't drink an espresso. In fact I
drink a coffee only at breakfast on weekends. The secret for a good
"american" coffee (that's the name here) is the coffee itself, and the
quantity being used. I use Costarican Tarrazu coffee, and with brown
sugar is very good (with or without true fresh milk).
