Nevertheless, undamaged by the crash.
Rental, covered by 100% insurance via Amex. Didn't care what might happen to it
from such a fraught encounter.
BTW, the only Ford I've owned is our '92 Taurus wagon, bought very used as a
back/utility vehicle. Other than fluids,
filters and brakes, the only things I recall replacing were the starter and
brake light switch. Both easy and
inexpensive, although I had to do the starter twice, as the first rebuilt
didn't work. Oh yeah, I used up most of a tube
of sealant fixing a windshield leak.
It's obviously had close encounters with other vehicles many times, but is
essentially intact.
