Ever since I restored this laptop to WinXP, I've kept all data plus
software backups on an external USB drive. The little enclosure for it cost
less than $5 on eBay, such as #221057529010. The larger ones for 3.5" IDE
devices are nice for using a full-size CDROM/DVD drive when making copies.
