It doesn't matter. I can flip between the two, and I just don't see any
meaningful difference.
To me, it's essentially an illustration for a tech subject, as opposed to a
composed photograph. As long as it conveys
the required information, other aspects seem moot. The information it conveys
is not in the color.
I need to replace the turn signal switch on one of my cars. I've found, bless
the web, an illustrated, step by step
guide. A few of the of the photos are slightly blurry, improperly exposed, etc.
- and it makes no difference at all.
Fortunately, they are in color, as wire colors are significant for this purpose.
