I would not be content with the results he got, YMMV.
As I just posted, I do a lot of very long tele and macro shooting. And I not
uncommonly magnify further by cropping, as
in the recent post of a hummingbird @ 100%. For that, his results just don't
cut it. For moderate focal lengths and
magnifications, especially for full or moderately cropped frames, it's likely
fine.

I agree there are some compelling advantages for the GX7. Whether they are
sufficient for my needs, I don't yet know. As
you say, side by side comparison these days usually seems to mean buying both
and returning one.
The other camera to consider is the E-P5.
