Agree, although I meant it geologically, jumping to the conclusion that the
glaciers had carved them rather than erosion of successive lava flows. Next
time I'm on Mull (good lord willing), I shall be wandering about with a geology
text in my hand. Perhaps we'll even hike out on the headland and have a look
first hand. I understand that's the location of a petrified tree left standing
by the lave that encased it. That goes on my list as a major tourist
attraction. <g>
