Au contraire. I am (barely) tolerated by a large rag doll - 'George, the Fur 
Ball of Doom' - on condition that I practice a feed on demand relationship. We 
have a rag doll as they are placid and less likely to predate the wildlife - 
unlike his murderous predecessor. That was an adopted stray ginger Tom of 
character so challenging that I patted the earth down over him with a strange 
mixture of regret and relief.
I don't dislike cats - I just do not suffer any delusions about their 
fundamental nature.
