Boris asked for ideas for a portrait of his son.
I had already decided what I wanted to suggest, but didn't see an immediate way
to illustrate
it. Then Chuck's one-time employer site came up

And one of the shots already had 2 of the 3 essential elements I wanted to
suggest already in
the picture, just as I envisaged them. The lad, and an oak tree with great
bark detail.
So I did a screen scrape of it, and using the pencil tool from a quite old but
very useful extinct
program called "Embellish", I added the GMC. 15 minutes later ...

Proportions and perspective would need a LOT of work - but ...
