&Qt Last night I attended the world premiere of my friend Kari Medina's song
&Qt cycle, set to the poetry of Emily Dickinson. Kari's music is both very
&Qt accessible and beautifully wedded to the texts, so it was a real pleasure.
&Qt Here are three shots from the actual performance.

&Qt Olympus E-M5 and 45/1.8, wide open at ISO 1600. I'll probably work on
&Qt these and/or others once I find out which ones Kari prefers. Contrasty
&Qt light, deep shadows and black pianos/dresses put me at the noise limits of
&Qt the E-M5..
&Qt
&Qt I like the contrasty light, deep shadows and black pianos and dresses...
&Qt so the first one gets my vote. I could never have got anything that clean
&Qt at ISO 1600 with my E-3, so I'm a bit jealous. Looks like you've got the
&Qt timing spot on too, at least in the first two.
&Qt
&Qt I think I should start to seriously consider that E-M5 now.
I agree, sharp clean shots ( as far as I could tell) and excellent balance of
lighting.
Only problem I have with these is that they are hosted on Flickr, which on my
system yields
only too-small images. Too small to enjoy much. Zone-10 better !
