Is it possible that your interest (obsession?) with originality is excessive,
in the sense of being unproductive, both
in creating your own work and enjoying that of others?
You might try reading "Steal Like an Artist: 10 Things Nobody Told You About
Being Creative", by
Austin Kleon. Wise, short, sweet and entertaining.
He makes a rather convincing, to me, argument that nothing at all is entirely
original - and yet that real creativity is
nevertheless possible.
