Iconic indeed. Used extensively in the "Highlander" film, and also in one of
the Bonds ("The World Is Not Enough", I believe).
Went there years ago, with a group of my student friends. One of them bought a
replica "Highlander" sword in the gift shop. I'll never forget him running
over the bridge shouting "there can be only one", as Japanese tourists ran for
cover ...
Gorgeous photos anyway - makes me realise I have a lot of scanning still to do.

Two views of Eilean Donan Castle, arguably Scotland's most iconic castle. We
heard it pronounced two ways: A-len Donan, or ELL-en Donan. Very old and
storied structure, destroyed during the Jacobite unpleasantness. Two views at
this point, one black and white, one color. Not the same image.
