I like everything about the DZ 18-180 in terms of size and handling, and it
is quite a beautiful lens, too, but I just could not eek out the IQ I
wanted it to have. Pity, because I would have put up with fatter,
skinnier, longer, uglier, plastic mount, and so forth if the resolution has
been there, but it wasn't, so I will soldier on with what I have, which is
an embarrassment of riches already, if truth be told.
I tested with two different camera bodies, used a tripod, used LV, put on
Sunday clothes, etc. It actually focuses closer than the mark I DZ 50-200,
which I am already happy with in that respect.
I thought it would be at least as good as the f4 40-150 for FT, but that
little floater kills it.
It would have been so nice. Asking too much of a 10X zoom I suppose.
