I was born left eye dominant. In second grade a playground incident left me
with double vision. The doctors all got together and decided the answer was
to patch one of my eyes for an extended period of time (9 months) to solve
the problem. But they assumed I was right eye dominant and patched my left
eye. So now I can do either, it's just a matter of remembering which eye to
look through the viewfinder with.
