As a studio jockey myself, I totally appreciate your situation. Those
room are tight and you did a remarkable job getting ANYTHING in there.
This was a case where your camera can never be quiet enough, though.
There really isn't any way to make a "portrait" in there, exactly.
That's what portrait studios are for. This is a broadcast studio, not
a portrait studio.
Which brings up an important point. The studio itself is an EXTREMELY
important element to this type of picture. It provides time and place
reference. Imagine if the only pictures of John Lennon were "perfect
portraits" and didn't show the studio, with the good/bad/ugly in it?
