Usb3 at only one end won't do a lot. But you could get a CF-USB3 adaptor?
I got a SD-USB3 adaptor when I added a USB3 card to my old desktop and
it felt like it was faster but I didn't do any quantitative testing.
My new laptop has an SD reader built-in.
