Appears they are throwing substantial resources at this despite a very
lackluster entry. One would bet their Speed Booster equivalent
won't come cheap but may be difficult to design for absolute FF FOV for
the 1.6X sensor. Brain Caldwell's (reknown optical designer responsible
for the Speed Booster) white paper
descibed a "cliff "of aberrations at about .7X which may be why the
final product is .71X. They didn't use any ED or aspheric elements
though and who know's what Canyon will do.
Looked interesting to me.
