Thanks, Chuck. The E-1 is showing its age. The spot metering choice no
longer works, but the other two options seem ok. For your battery summary,
I finally put a no-name battery in the E-1, charged up a couple of years
ago, and it is working fine. At the time I bought two of the batteries, you
gave me some strong advice against using them, and they have been sitting in
a charged state since that time. Problems may yet show up, but nothing yet.
