As I organise my key photos manually, I wonder what people use to what I
used to do.
In the days when DOS was king I used a program called Archivist which
enabled me to assign a range of key-words to image (numbers) ( all my
slides are uniquely numbered). I could search on any attribute and in the
blink of an eye Archivist would present me with all matches.
Archivist was sold by Blackwells Publishers in the UK, and I got my copy just
before they took it off the market. It is so blazingly fast I wonder if it is
written in machine code.
There is no way I can imagine for me to attach images to the database.
I have used dBase III+ for similar tasks, but not attached to images. And not
recently; I haven't installed it on this machine.
Are there any programs out there that you know of, not attached to any of
the Adobe image editors, that do this sort of categorisation and searching?
Thanks in advance for any info.
