I'll admit that my tastes are a little off. After all, I happen to
think that the Beech Staggerwing is likely the most beautiful man-made
object ever. But, Piper has never really made an airplane that has
been very attractive. They also had some pretty uninspiring handling
characteristics. Like trying to fly a soup can.
The redesign of the Mooney cowl was very well done. The Porshe engined
version was a little dodgy, but not near so as the one on the Lancair.
There comes a point where those little nostrils are just too small.
