I understand the problems newspapers face, but I think history will look
unkindly on the diffusion of sources of news and information, and the
cultural changes that sap us of time to read. Also, I think there is an
opportunity for some business school to study the failing of newspapers and
compare their response to the US car manufacturers and their problems. I
don't think that falling sales are best remedied by making the product
progressively more and more unpalatable.
