Just escaped the darkroom. Got everything all cleaned up and put away
for the week. Hanging to dry are 10 prints in an edition. I made up
this batch as a parting gift to several of my fellow employees and
friends that I won't be seeing again for the foreseeable future.
The beauty of these prints is that the AG process is so wonderful for
B&W. I know what everybody says about how "digital has arrived now for
B&W" and so on, but there is just something about these that look
different. Not "better" or "worse", but "different". It's a breed of
"different" that I just can't seem to get with a digital or hybrid
approach. Granted, I'll have to dust spot two of the images, and there
is a flaw here and there, but the prints just have a nice comfy look
to them.
I'm pleased and I believe the 10 recipients will be too.
