Roger that!
I was made aware of the double meaning some years ago when participating in a
critique group led by a British mystery writer, Kay Mitchell. She said
something about my latest passage, and I said "Roger that!" and even in email I
could sense her blush. I was informed of the alternate meaning in terms only
someone of British extraction could muster. It was fun. I wish I still had her
message, but the group was operating on Compuserve. Seems eons ago.
