Excellent. My wife and I have been to Wales. We went to Pennygraig and
some other places looking for genealogical information on my wife's
grandfather. On December 10, 1880 there was a gigantic explosion at the
Pandy Colliery in Pennygraig, Wales. There were 106 miners working the
night shift and 101 of them were killed. My wife's great-grandfather
was one of the 5 survivors. We have a Welsh bible given him by the
townspeople in commemoration of his survival.
We had a great time touring Wales. I distinctly remember Snowdonia (in
June) looking a great deal like the Catskill mountains of New York
(where we lived at the time) and of similar size. That was a long while
ago. There are probably some K2 slides (shot on my OM-1) around
somewhere but I'd be hard pressed to find them. But do a Google search
with [Catskill mountains images] We actually lived in Woodstock, NY
(yes, that Woodstock).
