You're speaking from one point of view (and therefore cobblers). You (and
Bill) might as well advise against a large house, a second house, a new camera,
or a pad in a city. If you have the money spare to buy a new car it means that
you can specifiy it and service it the way you want.
You were taking a risk on each of those used cars; some people don't want that
risk and can afford not to take it. I would have bought a new Yeti had a very
decent used X1 not turned up.
