And they won't last more than a year or two or three unless they're gold
rather than aluminum. But CDs/DVDs are not only unreliable they're also
much slower and more expensive than multiple hard drive copies. My
images are stored on 3 drives. One in the computer, one on an external
backup drive that's in the same room and a third stored outside
somewhere protected from the elements and, of course, fire in the main
house.
