Ah, sweet bliss!
Just pulled the trigger on flights to and from Scotland.
Arrive Glasgow Thursday, Sept. 5, 10:40 a.m. (Please, no fanfare. Though my
wife's maiden name is McClintock, and she's the driving force behind this trip,
she's oddly not a big fan of the pipes, so if you were thinking of meeting us
with the full effect, well, thanks, but maybe next time. <g>)
Depart Glasgow Thursday, Sept. 19, 2:05 p.m.
Icelandic Air, so we get a brief stop in Reykjavik. I wonder if I can get them
to stamp the old passport. It's looking a bit bare these days. Need to go to
Canada more, I guess. <g>
So now comes the fun part, the Planning Phase.
Thanks for all the help, more of which I hope still will be forthcoming.
And, of course, I look forward very much to meeting some of you and tipping a
pint or two, or perhaps a wee dram. (Sheepishly <snicker> I confess to being a
fan of the Hamish MacBeth Highland mystery novels, in which a surprising volume
of wee drams always play an important role.)
