Anyone still using one of these?
Never released in N.America, it wasn't even reviewed by DeepPeeve. They
waited for the release of the E-410, which had a Panny sensor and Live
View. I think it was maybe the low point of DPs treatment of Olympus, the
harbinger of which was its bad review of the E-330. I hated DeepPeeve at
that time.
Back when I was shooting the E-1 most of the time, all I really wanted was
the same camera with twice the pixels. I kind of forgot about that, moving
on to the E-3 when I could.
I picked up a E-410 on a eBay lark and have enjoyed its advantages of size
and especially the kit lenses that came with it. But I have always
wondered about the E-400 -- the last of the E system CCD bodies. It would
be a very different experience to handle from the E-1, but I like the way
the E-410 handles, so no worries.
I finally found one for sale in the UK on the Bay. Should arrive sometime
during the first week of April.
Even I find myself strange sometimes. What have I done?
