I occasionally use my OM bellows vertically on a copy stand (converted
enlarger !) and the locking screws need to be quite tight in that
orientation. My suggestion would be just tighten them enough to hold
everything in place ! Don't be surprised if the plastic blocks (which
provide the friction to hold the standards in place develop cracks. John
Hermanson used to have spares for these.
