Well, I think it's interesting to note that, according to my cousin, who is
a huge TT fan and career-long motorcycle mechanic/Honda factory rep, the
injuries and fatalities among the riders in the TT is quite low. They always
have a few fatalities each year, but they come on the day when the course is
open to the unwashed.
Whether this is true or urban legend, I don't know. Perhaps one of our UK
aficionados can fill us in.
