Metz has a solution even if there is no hot shoe. One can set program the delay for the pop up to trigger the 28 CS-2 and then trigger the others. http://www.video-direct.com/accessories/metz/metz-mecablitz-28-cs-2-flash.html I think older Nykon Flashes like the SB-26 AF-TTL Speedlight had a d (delay) mode so one could use one in the hot shoe TTL and slaves in auto and not screw up the TTL metering. Not sure if the D mode was adjustable though. (doubt it). Probably quite cheap these days.
