3-D printer may be good to make simple items that are making by the craftmans like OM-EOS mount. I can't think of much items it can produce cheaper in the future. Just like the injection plastic mold items, cast iron parts... BTW, can it make a smartphone? Which is now taking hundred thousands of people to assembly in China :-) Actually, 3D printing is not good enough to make even a simple electronic component like capacitor (at least cost effectively).
