Tina,
All these shots are delightful on many levels. They show total trust
between the subjects and photographer. They are FAR more than just documentary
shots. The B&W shot is wonderful. I think the colour shot is just as good, the
very muted colours (almost monochrome) work very well, and as Paul points out
the Red glow of the fire gives a focal point.
PLEASE keep these shots coming.

I usually prefer these in B&W. However, on this one, the color allows the
red of the fire to show, which helps define what that area is.
