There was an old Moline Universal tractor rusting away on the back forty
of my Grandpa's dairy farm that I played on a lot. It wound up going for
scrap iron during WWII. And I agree that it was a good way to grow up.
Learned a lot of things. How to drive a tractor, a car, a truck and
even a team of horses. Also learned how to fix things when they broke.
And then there was the time that I expressed a desire to learn how to
milk a cow. A month later, I had my ten cows to milk twice a day. LOL
