I am a firm believer that technique trumps technology most of the
time. Yes, I did use a tripod. I'll have to look up the EXIF data on
this, but the shutter speed was probably in the 1/30 range. It's well
lit.
Conversion was in Raw Shooter and I think I desaturated the image
there. There is a little bit of color in the stone work, but not
enough to be anything but a distraction, I think. Cropping and
resizing was done in Picture Window Pro. I almost posted the original
width, but didn't want to leave resizing for the gallery to chance.
The 100/2 and 28/2, when focused and used correctly is able to give
"pixel sharpness" with my cameras. It's just a matter of being able to
be a good enough photographer to make use of it.
