Well, here I am writing my first email in the Linux environment. I was
fairly happy with the DVD boot demo, so I installed it on a wiped 30G hard
drive so I could explore it more thoroughly, such as adding a Windows software
interface and then trying out some essential Windows applications such as
CorelDraw and Photoshop.
It wasn't without some tribulation. A few hurdles here and there and a
lot of anticipated geek speak to deal with. Pretty frustrating from time to
time. If all works out the earlier hard drive with the Win7 OS will be mounted
in an external case and the entire Win7 OS will be removed.
I've already seen that a lot of online aggravations have gone away, such
as the Mexican Jumping Cursor and the banner ads.
