The battery life was one reason I switched to the X-Pro1 from the little
olympuses the optical viewfinder gives it a much longer range, I got fed
up with the Pen PL2 which needed over 3 batteries a day. like the nykon
my 5D2 would last an era with OM manual focus lenses before needing
charging BUT this changed when using EOS lenses, it was still a lot lot
more than the pens and never more than two batteries a day. The E-M5
seems better but not enough for me, anything that needs more than two
batteries charging overnight is a pain (setting alarm to wake up in
order to change batteries - not anymore thankyou).
What I am surprised about is that no one has mentioned the noise that
the OM makes when switched on, a bit like a microphone picking up
background noise - which is what I first thought it was until it
dissapeared when I switched to movie mode. Its normal for the camera BUT
it can't help battery life.
