Are you sure about that?
Doesn't the adapter just pass on the connections? No smarts,or dumbs, in the
adapter, I thought.
I believe the issue is the way the lens focuses, designed for PDAF. Even though
designed for µ4/3, the first kit lens
for the E-P1 and 2 focused quite slowly. It wasn't until the 'MSC' lenses with
different, small focusing groups and
different motor types came out that the Pens had adequate focus speed. Put the
14-42 II that came with the E-PL2 on a P1
or P2 and suddenly they were fast.
ALL 4/3 lenses will be slow to focus on at least Oly µ4/3 bodies, some slower
than others. (I exclude Panny bodies only
because I know nothing about them.)
