Exactly. Resoldering a wire to the stainless steel battery contact in
an OM-1 is difficult. to. Old corrosion must be filed off, then buffed
with superfine emery cloth. Then just a LITTLE soldering paste (rosin
core is not enough). If you use too much solder paste, it will also not
solder properly. Then heat up, try to create small solder ball on
contact to insert wire into.
