The Java virus infestation is back or, perhaps, was never fully fixed in
the first place. Oracle has no fix yet but the news items say the
problem is rampant and dangerous. You are advised to disable Java on
your all browsers until the problem is fixed.

If you run Firefox you can do it from the Tools->Add-ons menu. On the
surface one can do it similarly in Internet Explorer but Oracle warns
that the only sure way for IE is to use the Java Control Panel
