Wonderful place, Montmartre. In 1998 I was there, taking a photo of the
cityscape at the top of the Italian Steps. A fellow approached me and pointed
at my light meter. I was using the Kodak Retina II at the time. He had a
Retina IIIC, and I guess that his light meter was broken. He was Italian and
didn't speak any French. But, he did speak a little German, so at the top of
the Italian Steps in Paris I gave an Italian fellow a light meter reading in
German. One of my more memorable moments of being in Paris.
